Mr. Bailey possesses over 30 years of strategy, transactional advisory, corporate finance, and structuring experience, having been directly involved with in excess of $200 billion of transactions for numerous growth, middle market and large cap clients, across a broad array of sectors and geographies. Over the last decade he has primarily focused on working with growth /early-stage defense technology companies. Since 2022, he has led all capital and advisory activities for Arena Financial Services, an affiliate of Arena Investors (a $5 billion credit-centric and opportunistic investment fund). During this period, significant focus and analysis has been devoted to analyzing, understanding, and devising strategies around capital inefficiencies in the growth ecosystem of the DefTech and related markets landscape. Previously, he served as Group Head at Oberon advising companies primarily associated with Aerospace, Defense, Government, Security and Technology; as a Managing Director and Partner of the Secure Strategy Group, a SecDef-oriented consulting firm; led Focus Capital’s and Macquarie’s US Aerospace, Defense, Security & Safety and CleanTech advisory practices. Prior to that, he was a Managing Director and founder of GC Advisors’ Security & Defense Group. While at Jefferies & Company, from 2004 through 2006, he co-founded the General Industrials Group while focusing on CleanTech, industrial tech, and homeland security companies. Earlier, he was a generalist officer in Citigroup’s (legacy Salomon Brothers) Industrial group; in cross border M&A at BZW and an M&A associate atHLHZ.
